Want to buy Poker chip set

THANKS FOR THE HELP AND ADVICE i NOW HAVE MY NEW CHIPS

Hi all, my name is Gary and have been playing TH for about 4 months now. Very addictive. turns out that there are 4-5 other couples that my wife and I know are into TH also so we all get together now on Saturday nights for our own home games.
Just finished building my own table and now want to get a set of Poker chips so I don't have to borrow them. I was considering purchasing a set of 650 -1000 NEXGEN chips. If any one has any advise on where the best deals are on this type of chip or something similar it would be appreciated. Also I am considering getting some custom lables made such as the ones made by personalpokerchips.com but if any one knows of a Canadain supplier could you let me know.

Not a Canadian supplier, but I always use 5stardeal.com -- it will at least give you an idea of what's out there.

You don't say where you are, however if in the Toronto area silver coin amusements have chips at excellent prices. Their web site is www.slot-machines.ca. They don't carry nex gen however.

FYI...I wouldn't put labels on your new chips since it may affect stability as you stack your chips. My friend placed labels on his chips and it was a disaster since the chips would fall as we began to stack our chips. However, there are chips that have an inlay so that you may place the labels with no affect on stability. Costco has a good set for $50 and it feels like clay chips. Since you are already looking at Nexgen chips, you probably want higher quality. The WPT chips are awesome as well.

I wouldn't worry about that. Nexgens have an inlay and I remember reading that they're the best chips to use for custom labels.
