The Banker The Professor and The Suicide King
Okay, I just finished this book, which is excellent btw, and I highly recomend it to anyone who hasnt read it. I'm going to post a neat segment on odds of heads up hands, most people might not find it interesting, but some might. I will post the answers later on.
All questions are relating to Heads Up Hold'em
1. What is the lowest high card you could have in your hand and expect to win more than half the time regarless of your second card?
2. What is the unpaired, unsuited hand with the lowest high card that would win more than half the time?
3. What is the lowest suited hand that would win more than half the time?
4. What are the hightest suited hands that would not win half the time?
5. What are the worst hands that would win more that half the time?
For those who havent read the book and are wondering , this book is NOT a strategy poker book. It is about the highest stakes game the Bellagio ever held, a match between a texas banker, Andy Beal, and all of the "Big Name" pros from Vegas.

The Professor The Banker and The Suicide King
good book
I would also recommend Big Deal and Positively Fifth Street
Charlie, if you are reading this, "I told you so"
I gave the book to Charlie to read, but he didn't seem too interested, maybe now if he reads this thread he will reconsider.
Anyone up for this?
I would like to read Harington's two volumes do you have them?
I have: (by memory. since they're in the garage)
Sklansky (Hold em and Hold em for advanced players)
Hellmuth
Cloutier
Caro
few more whose authors I can't recall...Zen and the art of poker, bluffing and betting, etc...
Let me know and I'll dig em out to bring to your place Friday
I don't think it will improve your game much, its a novel not a strategy book.
I have a copy to trade as well. Will trade for any strategy book. If anyone is playing on Saturday at the Cook Crew Main Event and wants to trade, let me know and I will bring the book. This book does not really contain any strategy info but more of a story about high stakes poker and some of the main players that you will surely know.
