  • The "bonus prize" will be changing. Details in the next day or two.
  • Just noticed that the The UPF PlanetPoker Series is at the same time on the same day, wow Dave, playing two tournaments at the same time with a bounty on your head and people gunning for you!
  • It's an unfortunate accident.

I needed to have the Team Canuck this weekend because I will be in Bahamas the next weekend.
  • so when is team Canuck going to face off vs the new pokerforum team?
  • Ah yes, another Team Canuck Tournament, another conflict with my oh so busy schedule.

Here's the story this time (I have to get more and more creative with the excuses for every tournament I miss...):

For Christmas, my brother and I bought my parents a day/night in beautiful Toronto... Jan. 21st!  Tickets to a matinee of Blue Man Group, dinner reservations, hotel reservations.  They like to play poker, so I also put together a game for them at my place at night, and since they have a hotel room in the city I figure they can let loose and get crazy.  I have aunts, uncles, friends, girlfriends, parents, brothers, etc etc all coming to play on this particular night, and I can't change the date.

However, since my computer will be fairly close by, I'll try to play at least a couple of hands at Paradise.  And as people bust out, I will give them the option of playing for me in the TCP tournament if they so desire.  So, you could play against my dad, my mom, my aunt, etc. or me if I bust out early enough.
  • Blue man rocks - you will have a good time there (and for anyone who was tempted to see it in Vegas, it's less than 1/2 that price in T.O.).

Don't read the post about playing poker with your boss and apply that to playing poker with your family this weekend!
  • A reminder that this tournament is tonight at 10:00 Eastern.

  • Signed up again for it. But what about these changes to the bonus Dave indicated? Have I missed a post somewhere??
  • Sorry... the bonus is as stands. It might be a different $250 on FastWilly but it will be at least $250.

I think Paradise may want to change that to an entry into a "Conquest of Paradise Island" sat.
  • Not so good this month...out WAY too early. Dealt 77 UTG, raised to 3xBB, get two callers. Flop comes up QQQ. Bet out, one fold, the other calls. Turn was 8, I bet, get called. River is a 7. Figured I was beaten by quads...checked to him, he bet my stack...had to call. Yep, he had quads.

Oh well, next time. Good game all.
  • I never should've called the flop on that hand. I had pocket 4's

Why did you "have to call"?
You realize that your set doesn't play right? If not a queen you should have at least put him on a buried pair higher than yours since he did call your pre flop raise.
Having said that I played real shitty in this tourney and was knocked out in 122 place..
  • I was horribly short stack at the time. I felt it was a do or die situation. Only hand I had up till then was AKo, and I got zero action out of it. I guess I could have folded it, it was still very early in the tournament, but with only 600 chips left, I didn't think I had enough to make it much further anyway. I know, chip and a chair...but with the cards I was getting up until then, I just thought I would put myself out of my misery earlier and go to bed.

    Next month.
