Last night I played in a tourney on UB, and let people on the forum know that I was playing. Some of the forum folks dropped by to offer encouragement, and some offered advice through the forum etc. I'm a member of a few other forums, full contact, etc, and for the most part found them to be places where folks get together to criticize other folks, and generally have a great big pissing contest. I thought it was pretty refreshing that people on this forum seem interested in promoting poker, and improving the game of other's involved.

so cheers for not being like the kids on some other forums.

    Oh trust me, we have plenty of that stuff don't worry. Just mention the word DVD around here and watch the swarm descend.

    In all seriousness, dinobot, this is indeed a great forum, generally low-attitude and high-level thinking. About poker, anyways. We're lucky to have the people here that we do.
