Royal Flush - What are the odds??
I finally got around to teaching my wife how to play NLH over the holiday break. After about 20 hands in, what does she end up with, a Royal Flush! Having never come across a Royal Flush before, and considering it was her first time playing poker, I think the poker gods are on her side. Anybody know the odds of a Royal Flush with only two players? Cheers.

I have no idea of that's accurate - but it's what I got from a Google search.

I think if you factored in that it was her first time playing, then it is almost a guarantee
You're right - apparently, if you hold Ad Kd, the odds of Qd Jd 10d flopping is 19,599 to 1.
It's amazing the things you can find when you are avoiding doing any work.

I guess its time to start playing more pokerÂ
Ouch!
jeez , i guess the royal flush is pretty royal then... i've yet to see one on party poker yet... only flushes that aren't royal.
Folded a few - would be straight flushes lately. Yar

His total pot I think was less than $5!!!
We made our bets and the flop came :ah :qh :kh then a round of bets the turn came :jh we both couldn't believe almost a royal flush he had the :5h and I had the :6h he went all-in and I had the larger stack and called the river came and it was the :10h we both couldn't believe it a royal flush and almost in order. Has anyone else ever seen this???
that beats my story. At least you split the pot and now you can say you had a royal flush before
