Flopping trips into a suited board

This has happened to me a couple time in the past two days. I get in with a mid or low pair, flop a set, but the board is suited. How should you play this? Get in as many bets as possible on the flop or wait for the turn to blank and then get in some raises? And if you wait for the turn, what do you do if you get raised or reraised.

  • Depends on number of people in the hand and the types of players.

Generally, I'd make at least a half pot bet on the flop if there's 2 or more opponents in.

Put in even more on the turn if the board is harmless. If you get raised, don't be afraid to get your chips in. You figure to be about a 80% favourite in most cases. You could get raised by guys with TPTK or 2pr or even folks who think you are bluffing.
  • Hero is talking about Limit, but good try anyway.

To answer the OP, play it fast. 3-bet the flop if you can and if you get capped you can start to think about the flush existing. Remember that you are still on a draw for the full house.
  • Ooops. Never mind.
