Counterfeit hands

A question.

I know hands can get counterfeited by bigger pairs or when one of your hole cards gets duplicated in a straight. Is this term applicable to flushes too? Like if you held 67 of hearts, and three hearts hit on the flop, then another hit on the turn. Is it wrong to say your 67 was counterfeited because now any heart bigger than a 7 has your beat?

  • Sure, why not?

Though i prefer the term "bamboozled"
  • Yeah, I thought that was the case, but one of those classic poker analists ("You don't have the right implied pot odds to make that call, etc....") said it was not correct to use the term for that situation... and of course in true degenerate fashion, he wanted to bet me that I was wrong.

I honestly didn't know if I was wrong or not. Not that I care either way...

P.S. Are implied pot odds like when your stoner buddy comes over to watch football, there is an 87% chance you're gonna get stoned at somepoint during the game ;)
