Comments on both hands, both players play?

  • Honestly, I think both players played the hands well. It looks as though you got unlucky though, assuming you are player 1. With the blinds 300/600 its gonna be tough to get people off any drawing hand or made hand.

  • Hand one player 1 played it VERY weak. High pocket pair min raising and then only a half pot continuation bet with a possible straight flush draw.

Hand two player 1 was a bit unlucky not to his straight or flush and player 2 probably called the all in bet (a loose call IMO) just for the chance to eliminate player 1.

Actually I'd agree that Hand 1 player 1 was fairly weak post flop, I like the preflop bet though.

  • second hand there isn't much to be said. the first hand, with QQ heads up I like the min raise preflop... but that's a pretty scary flop, come out swingin, minraising the other players bet is way weak in that situation. I'm reraising to 2500-3000, maybe even all in.
  • Thanks for the replies:
    I was Player 2.
I thought this was an interesting end - Player 1 and I had not played a lot of hands against each other - but we had both probably defined each other - me as a rock and him as super aggressive - but near the end we had both changed gears a bit
When he min raised I didn't put him on a big hand at all - I thought Ax, Kx or suited connectors were a possible hands
On the last hand - I did not think he had a piece of the board but was probably on a draw - I was willing to double him up for the chance on of knocking him out
He and I debated for a bit after hand one -not trash talking, just justifying our plays
    Thanks for the replies

  • HAND NUMBER ONE

I don't like the play of Q-Q. When it gets heads up you need to be more aggressive. In part because you are more likely to get called. If Q-Q moves in pre-flop A-3s migth call. I might, depending upon the player. And, bigger bet on the flop. You want to offer bad odds that he will call. I this case Q-Q offered great odds to A-3s.

    HAND NUMBER TWO

Yuck. Player one should move in or fold, I think. T-8s and I am moving in.
