Limping in the SB in 3/6

Just started playing 3/6, the only thing im confused about is what hands to limp with from the SB. Since the SB is only 1/3 of a bet, I know I have to tighten up a bit but not by how much. Are any two suited cards still ok? Any pocket pair? A-10o, KJo etc...???

  • Play what you would play in a loose game from the button and add two suited cards.

I think you need to be a little bit tighter than that, but not by much.. I'd be a little less inclined to complete with any two suited cards..
  • in a 1/3 structure like you would find in a 3/6 game, any two suited is probably just a tad too loose...although you should still be completing the majority of them

in a 1/2 or 2/3 structure, any two suited is definitely correct as a default play.
  • I should have mentioned... "any two suited" is a little loose. Use your discretion with the suited cards. If there is one limper, don't play them all. If the whole family comes to dinner, then feel free to loosen up a bit and play your suited gappers and Qx suited, etc..
