My CN Story, Did i play wrong?
Hi all, new here from Kitchener. Very nice site.
Playin at CN last week, was doing great. 1/2 nl was up 200 dollars in 30 minutes. Then came trouble. I was in Big Blind, dealt :qs :qc . everyone folded around to button, he calls.  SB who has been raising all nite to steal 2 dollars reraises 40 dollars. 40 dollars is a wack raise in 1/2 but I wasnt pinning him on something better than my hand. I re-raise to 100. button folds, he goes all in for 250. I quickly call. He shows  :ah :qh. Im sitting pretty. (or so i thought).
Flop comes :qd :5c :4h.. Hes OWNED! Turn :8h River :9h.. im stunned lol. Should I of got off this hand? Should I of just flat called? he would of liked flop also.
I came back and left +200 dollars for the nite, but kept thinkin bout that hand all nite.

Consider other ways the hand COULD have been played.
(1) Pre-flop. You could have folded, but that would be gross since you have your opponent dominated. You could have called. Or, you could have done what you did and get it all-in pre-flop which is fine since you are a 3-1 favourite (approx).
(2) If you have called pre-flop what do you do on the flop? Call or raise? Either is fine. At that point you are 96% to win. This is EASILY strong enough to slow play. If you had raise, same result. If you called then it goes to the turn...
(3) On the turn, you are only scared of 7-6, but the money IS going all in on the turn... same result.
So, long story made short, there is only ONE possible result in this hand (barring the possibility of your opponent folding on the flop had you called and since he is willing to bet $40 into a $3 pot THAT seems unlikely). You go broke. Sometimes, the other mug gets lucky.
Man, Do you know how to promote the game!
