My First Tourney...

Okay,
Granted this wasn't the World Series Of Poker, I still thought I played it pretty decent for my first one.

I was playing on Pacific Poker, there was a sit and go, 600 people registered,
blinds increased every ten minutes.

So, started off just surviving, made some nice pots, blah blah..

I'm slightly below 3,000 in chips (a little below average for the tourney at this point, everyone started out with 1,000), I'm in late position and get AKs, I check-rasie, buddy ends up getting me all in against his short stack, I still have about 454 chips left atfer this is done, he flops a full-house on the river to beat me, not the the greatest.

Next hand, pocket AA's, I go all in before the flop win $2500, I'm okay again, mostly just survived,

ended up finishing 47th out of 600, was a pretty good acheivment for me, my goal going in was to not make too many big errors and finish in the top 300, the blinds ended up running me over and got all in with a low pocket pair loosing out to the river again!

Anyway, not really anything too exciting just wanted to share my first online tourney experince!

    That sounds odd to me...

Good job though, reaching your preset tourney goals is always good. 8)

Try reading Super System. You won't be able to tell the difference between the flop and the turn ever again. 8)
