  • After he reraises you on the flop you have to think you're up against AK AJ or maybe JJ. At that point I'd definately fold. You still have 470 chips, I know its not alot but with the blinds at 10/20 you'd still have plenty of time to pick a spot to double up. And from my experience in this 180 person sngs, people are more than willing to double you up early on.

Cut your losses and battle back.
  • This looks right to me. The good thing about these tournaments is there's always another one starting. You definitely get shown a worse ace or a big draw here often enough that you can't fold.
  • Like watts said, there are enough donks in these tournies to get all the chips in here. If this were later in the tourny I might dump it, but early im always lookin for a double up.
  • This time you're in good position. I agree with your preflop raise.
I also agree with your raise on the flop.
When you're reraised you know you're beat..but in this instance you pretty much don't have enough chips to warrant folding, you may as well call and hope to get lucky. Even when the K hits the turn, it only means your outs have gone from being one of 3 Q's to being one of 4 T's... so it's a good thing.
If you had lots more chips, then once you know you're beat it would be best to protect your stack and pick another spot. Unless you can put your reraiser on a bluff or know his play well enough to put him on either a flush draw or a worse A.
Or, if for instance this were a big buyin tourney then maybe even saving the 470 and hoping to build it would be best.
