Adive for Niagara, old and new casino, anyone?

Hi all,

Goin to Niagara Saturday night, staying at the Hilton across from the Fallsview.

The wait times can be a real pain in the ass at the fallsview, anyone experienced the old casino's poker room (casino niagara)?

What's the spread of games... wait times?

Thanks

  • I beliieve casino naigara only spreads low limit games...you can also try Seneca casino, just over the border
  • Was there last Saturday, arrived at 5:15, wait time 1hr for 2-4, less for 1-2 NL.
  • Casino Niagara will have 2-4, 3-6 limit games, and some 1-2 no limit games the poker room is alright with usually 7-12 tables on the weekend
Fallsview is usually 6-12, 10-20 limit, and a 5-5 NL table or 2.Typically they have about 6-8 tables going at any given time. Make sure you call a few hours before you plan on showing up or you will wait for a while, usually 1-2 hours minimum.
  • fallsview will let you call ahead and get on the list? I know Rama won't maybe it's worth the drive to NF
  • Niagara does too. Same #888-winfall
Just ask for the poker room that you want. Fallsview or Niagara.
  • Direct lines to poker pits:

    Casino Niagara: 905-353-7000

    Casino Fallsview: 905-371-7777

  • Went to the old casino last night.... YEOW!! That's a long wait... was gonna be a few hours for most tables... should of called ahead
  • Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino are packed every weekend. Just head across the bridge to Seneca if you want some real poker action.

  • How's the waiting there? Is it easy to find over the bridge by the falls?
  • I always called ahead and never had to wait more then 5 minutes. The casino is right across the Rainbow bridge in the old convention or centre. I believe its like 5 lights up after you cross the border. 5 or 4 lights anyways on your left. You can park right in front for free.

  • Yeah except it is on your RIGHT.
  • Thanx for the phone numbers and I didn't realize that the Seneca Casino is like walking distance from the falls. I may keep that in mind.
  • Joe just use the toll free # and ask for the pokerroom that you want. Why pay long distance? Make sure you specify. If you ask for the 'pokerroom' they usually direct your call to Fallsview.
  • I always use toll free numbers if I can. But thanx for the concern over my ld bills. LOL
  • Hey that just means you have more money to lose to me in cash games.

How "IS" the action over in the usa/seneca? More maniacal than niagara? Looser? More aggressive? More drunks? Dealers at niagara are consistently inconsistent. Some reveal cards, some burn and turn prematurely, some get really pissed when you throw in Big-Bets on the early betting rounds. (Which I am guilty of). What are dealters like at seneca?

    (those were essentially two questions)
    Thanks
  • I find the dealers at Seneca to be much better. They keep their own tips so they work harder for the players and have incentive to be better. I find the games to be tighter ($3/6 limit) but the free drinks compensates...

It is a closed room so you are not bothered by slot machine noise etc. It is just a much better place to play overall. The buffet is excellent and if you go with someone who plays slots, the comps rack up quickly. No comps for the poker players, but haven't been since Aug. so it may have changed. Don't expect much if it has.
  • Do they provide complimentary bevies at Seneca??
  • Any booze you want.
