Best Poker in Vancouver

Vancouver players - where is the best action?

I am in Van City next week on business and was hoping to be able to squeeze in at least one nice session. What are my best options? Sunday night, Monday night or Tuesday night are my only real chances to play - and probably only one of those dates.

I would love any low ante no limit cash game, or any sit and go or smaller tournament. Time is going to be a bit of a constraint. 10+20 limit would work too. I am staying downtown at the Holiday Inn - I heard there is a casino next door. Obviously its the most convienient, but should I head anywhere else?

  • HEY AK. I am in vancouver right now myself, needed a break from amsterdam.
The holiday inn you are staying at (if its the one on broadway) has a casino with a few 10 20 kill games and a 1-2 nl game. This is the closest. Second closest is edgewater which is like a 5 dollar cab ride. The edge is very easy money (probably easiest on the planet), but they only run 4-8 and the list is always super long. There is of course The river rock in richmond. They have all kinds of games (30 tables or so), but again the lists are long. hope this helps feel free to pm me.

  • Yup I am at Broadway. I read they only have 6 tables though. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers, but all things considered, I wish I was back in Amsterdam. Vansterdam is a poor substitute, but still one of my fav. cities in Canada.

I'm also in Victoria for a few days, but doubtful i will be able to play over on the island.

Even with the Lions out of the Grey Cup - I'm guessing the casino's should be full on Sunday with some drunken gamblers. 1-2 NL sounds good to me. I'll most likely be there later on Sunday night.

    Thanks dude
  • the 30 game at river rock is probably the softest regularly spread game at that level in canada
