XX Tourney
Ok... there were only 2 Xs in the title... did you think it was a typo when you opened this!!!
So the wife and I head over to the casino early last night (about 5:30ish). She's gonna play in a ladies only tourney and I figure to play NL. This is the first ladies only tourney the casino has had, so the talk for the last few weeks is centered around the proposed over/under line for the number of entries. It has hovered around the 25 mark... I take the under!!
98 ladies show up... no cash games for atleast 2-3 hours... Damn the over!
Mrs. Holdem goes out in 12th... very respectful finish... and just misses the money.
Clearly the first tourney for a few people.... Huge commotion early around one table... so I wander over... 5 players in the hand, 4 all-ins... T4o takes the massive pot with a flopped 2 pair... nice!! The final table is awash with giggles, applause, and hugs after a bust out.... something you just don't see during other tourneys. The next one is already on the schedule... they better get some more tables!!!
