Introduction
Hi all
I am new to these forums, having discovered them after seeing the private tourney set up on pokerstars. I am an avid poker player from Victoria BC and have been playing poker for about eight years.
While I do not get much chance to play live, I do manage a few tournaments each year and hope to play in the Canadian Championships in Oct. I have been a regular reader of the 2+2 forums for a long time and am glad to have found poker forums specific to this country.
Online, my specialty is SNG play. I have posted a great deal about sng play on the 2+2 one table tournaments forum and I am actually working on a book on that topic right now. I prefer No-Limit hold'em to all other forms of poker, but have played and studied all the major games to some degree.
It looks like there is a sociable and knowledge hungry crowd shaping up these forums and I look forward to participating in some good conversation in the near future.

I too was an avid poster on twoplustwo, but I haven't looked at it for a long long time. Like you said, there are plenty of sociable and knowledgeable players here, and I love the Canadian content. Let's see.... I like poker... I live in Canada... there's a poker forum for Canadians...
I still post on recpoker.com occasionally, and still read it most days because there are some interesting posts there, as well.
By Canadian Championships, do you mean the Regina tournaments?
If you are indeed writing a book, you join Dave Scharf in the "glad to have him on the forum but I'm not looking forward to playing him" category!
