Ivey's Main Event Exit

Anyone else think that Ivey wayyyy overplayed his JJ preflop? It's hard to get a read on the players as they don't show many hands, but certainly the best approach would have been to play smaller pots against some of these players than pushing with JJ preflop.

    At the time of the WSOP Matusow said he couldn't believe Ivey got eliminated. Matusow thought he should have just played small pots and kept chopping away instead of getting invovled in big confrontations preflop against guys like Black and Kanter that just weren't going to back down. I think he was a bit unlucky in his table draw getting one that he wouldn't be able to run over but he didn't adjust well. As for the JJ hand I would probably do the same thing, but Phil might normally play it better, he just seemed a bit frustrated and off his game by that point.

    I haven't seen the coverage yet...how did Ivey's bust out hand play out?
