And watts is referring to kickin the crap out of me last night in that $5 rebuy... the guy gets moved tomy table with about 150 people left of the 1000+ entrants.... watts brings 30k to the table against my 120k and quite literally takes ALL of it.... i played 5 hands with the guy and he won every single one...

I always take an immediate rebuy, and I always take the add-on regardless of my stack size. In rebuy tournaments (like the ones at Stars) where you have to have 1500 or less to rebuy, the immediate one puts me to 3000. I'll play slightly looser during the rebuy period, but not much, in an effort to double up to 6000. If I get to 6000 or close to it, I slow right down and pretty much coast to the first break. If I ever get back down to 1500 or less, I'll rebuy once, and if I get broke, I'll rebuy twice.
At rebuy tournaments like the ones in Regina, where you have to have 1001 or less to rebuy during level one, 2001 or less to rebuy during level 2, 3001 or less to rebuy during level three, etc. I will rebuy as many times as they'll let me. If I'm winning, they won't let me, but if I'm losing, so be it. I have no maximum number of rebuys that I'm willing to purchase, although I have been known to get so sick at the beats I've taken during an online rebuy period that I've quit before the break. That is rare, and it doesn't make much sense to do, but I've done it.

Shortly after that pokerstud12 knocked out beepriest and we chopped it.
I think he's referring to a tournament where I had a 15K stack before the rebuy ended and couldn't resist pushing with pocket 5s against a bunch of all ins. The only other big stack (who i was trying to get to fold by reraising) beat me with 66.
To be fair, it was a $3 turbo satellite rebuy, not the 10+r, and my table was INSANE.
I'm just curious what would you guys do in this situation.
In a rebuy tourney, there is a maniac (and another borderline maniac) who goes all in with any ace, any suited cards, any pair during the rebuy period. Do you sit and wait for a monster and hope it is also at that time they go all in, or do you gamble with decent hands, and if you miss, do a double rebuy?
Gamboool it up and don't be afraid to dip into the rebuy fund. just be careful about the other players waiting to act behind you. Limp in from EP with marginal hands like Ax and then if he pushes and no one calls you can call safely. You also probably want to limp your monsters to make sure you don't scare him into not pushing. If you're not down with rebuying a bunch if times then waiting for good hands to call will net you a nice stack too, but you can get a monster stack if you gamble it up and push those 60-40 type edges preflop repeatedly. understand that the "maniac" is usually the best player at the table with a big bankroll that only cares about trying to make a big score so don't underestimate him after the rebuy period.

And watts is referring to kickin the crap out of me last night in that $5 rebuy... the guy gets moved tomy table with about 150 people left of the 1000+ entrants.... watts brings 30k to the table against my 120k and quite literally takes ALL of it.... i played 5 hands with the guy and he won every single one...
I always take an immediate rebuy, and I always take the add-on regardless of my stack size. In rebuy tournaments (like the ones at Stars) where you have to have 1500 or less to rebuy, the immediate one puts me to 3000. I'll play slightly looser during the rebuy period, but not much, in an effort to double up to 6000. If I get to 6000 or close to it, I slow right down and pretty much coast to the first break. If I ever get back down to 1500 or less, I'll rebuy once, and if I get broke, I'll rebuy twice.
At rebuy tournaments like the ones in Regina, where you have to have 1001 or less to rebuy during level one, 2001 or less to rebuy during level 2, 3001 or less to rebuy during level three, etc. I will rebuy as many times as they'll let me. If I'm winning, they won't let me, but if I'm losing, so be it. I have no maximum number of rebuys that I'm willing to purchase, although I have been known to get so sick at the beats I've taken during an online rebuy period that I've quit before the break. That is rare, and it doesn't make much sense to do, but I've done it.

To be fair, it was a $3 turbo satellite rebuy, not the 10+r, and my table was INSANE.
So....
If you call a pre-flop raise, call a flop continuation bet, and then bet the turn, you're bluffing. Got it.

That's quite the screenshot though... too funny.
In a rebuy tourney, there is a maniac (and another borderline maniac) who goes all in with any ace, any suited cards, any pair during the rebuy period. Do you sit and wait for a monster and hope it is also at that time they go all in, or do you gamble with decent hands, and if you miss, do a double rebuy?
