[SPLIT] do I call or fold

Lets assume that the call is Automatic (I think it should be for everyone who limped in late position)

This raises a good question.

If I have KK or something nice and I am on the button and everyone else has limped, is making a raise of any benefi?

If you are confident that you hand is the best and will hold up I can understand that you may feel you are building your pot, but then you get smoked by a 9-2o on the flop.

Limit has taught me not to value my hands too much as I get tore up a lot by BS callers.

uhhhh ... I think thats all.

Later.

Yes, and you hope somebody reraises you so you can cap it. If someone smokes you with 92o then smile and go get'em next time.

EDIT: Forgot to add that "bs callers" are your best friends.
  • So when I get a big hand Raise regardless of position in a limit game ... eventhough I will get max callers???

I guess you really get paid when you hit.

P.S. As of late the BS dudes are owning me.
  • You said you were on the button with KK. In that case yes, punish the limpers. You said everyone limped. Punish them.
I would cap any day with KK from any position in a low limit game. (i'm assuming low limit game here).
  • isn't it risky to cap at low limits as the range of calling/re-raising hands would be far greater?

Maybe I am too timid and my poor heart can't take the stress :D

The way I have started to look at is, they are calling anyway, why risk more until we see the flop. But I guess there are a million and one varibles to account for.

I guess a raise could help me in later rounds of betting as my preflop raise may establish that I have a solid hand.
  • You risk more because you hold an edge with such a strong starting hand over a bunch of limpers playing weak aces, unsuited connectors and any other of a myriad of crap hands typical in low limit games. That said if an Ace and no K hits the flop your kings are near worthless. Don't bluff, just look for a reason to exit. You have to push your edges hard in loose low limit games.
  • That ones in the books.

Thanks for your input ... Ol ... errr Stone Face (I Swear I mean that in the nicest way possible :D:D:D)
