Title: Opening Chip Counts
Log: Play looks to be delayed until about 2:30 pm or so. In the meantime, here are the opening chip counts:


1. Phil Hellmuth - $281,500 (seat 4)
2. Mike Matusow - $179,000 (seat 9)
3. Brandon Adams - $135,500 (seat 7)
4. Tony Bloom - $130,000 (seat 8)
5. Steve Dannenmann - $122,000 (seat 1)
6. Keith Sexton - $95,500 (seat 6)
7. Hoyt Corkins - $95,000 (seat 5)
8. Grant Lang - $61,500 (seat 2)
9. David Levi - $41,000 (seat
above are the chip counts.

Some controversy I guess as Hellmuth didn't "earn" his way into the tourney like the other 108 players did. Hellmuth, Chan and Brunson were put in by the tournament organizers.

Love him or hate him Matusow has been playing some great poker since getting out of jail.

    Haven't looked for a torrent yet but it was damn funny to watch
    3 hours TV time and the last 2 hours was the FT

    About 10 minutes in Matusow got moved to Hellmuth's table and berated him for the rest of the tourney
    Some great poker to watch for sure

    If it weren't for Matasow and Hellmuth this tournament would have BLOWN.. I had to force myself to watch parts of it. Luckily Matasow was his usual funny self and even had a few confrontations with Hellmuth.. very funny! My respect for Steve Dannenmann also went up when he stood up to Helmuth
