First I would try isolating the short, to the monitor or pc.
Hook up your monitor to another pc. If you're positive the
cables are fine, but have the same problem happen, then it's
an internal short in the monitor. Your screwed.
Buy a new monitor.Â
If it doesn't happen on a new pc though...
Then try hooking your pc up to a new monitor instead.
If those both fail, also try a new cable too, they can break
individual wires inside.
Aren't pc's fun?
"its the ram man i had the same problem"
im like WELL FIX IT? lol
its fine now
the only bad thing is the 512 ram stick was bad, now im running on 256 haha
im gonna pick up a stick this weekend, 1 gig is $100, prices have dropped big time
and not intermittently, it may have been the video card or
a cable. A RAM stick is an easy fix and prices have
definitely come down. I have every computer tower I ever
owned, sitting in a pile, since I got into them years ago.
Occasionally I'll rob a part here or there to feed the
beast. A cooling fan here, a cable there, etc. lol
that I still use today. It pivots back and forth overtop my
recliner chair. It makes surfing and online poker much more
comfortable. I position the monitor so I can watch TV and
surf simultaniously. muuuwhahahahaaa!
i'm just messin...the second i read that i thought of how i could fashion something similar...
