Can Our Names Be Changed?

i'm going around to all the sites that i have a username at, and trying to change them...i need some consitency in my life!

my question is, if i go into my profile here, and change my username, will all of my previous posts be under the new name or the old name?

    ok, so that didn't work.
    then my new question is, can our names be changed?
    it's getting hard to keep track, so i'm trying to make everything the same.

    i guess it's possbile but only admin can do the change i think
