I'm gonna sell my current COPAG set and pick those ones up for sure!
Damn those cards are pimpin'!
The Epoc cards are a special edition design. They where designed by a Brazilian artist, Maria Leonor Decourt. She actually receives a royalty on those card. As far as Ii know they are the only black playing cards on the market.
Cheers
I just wish they had more than one non-face card in the display pic... the 10 of hearts is cool, but I wouldn't have minded seeing some of the other suits as well.
by appointment only. Please call me at (416) 738-5025 to set a time.
Here are some pictures of the Copag cards I have in stock. You can also see them all at www.straightpokersupplies.com
I think I have to go change my shorts now...
I still love the design, but I'm not sure if I'm going to completely do away with my old COPAGs now. The black ones don't slide nearly as well (which is incredibly handy when we're playing on our board room table at work), but I love the designs on them too much to write them off so soon, I need to play with them for a while. And I definitely like the black ones better for shuffling.
I think it's just that the process in making the poker size ones is a bit different from the bridge size ones, as the textures between the two, although slight, is noticeable. The black ones almost feel like paper cards, but definitely aren't (we used the cut cards to test ripping/damaging them, and they're definitely plastic).
I'd be in heaven if I could get this design in the bigger cards...
Glad to hear you a happy with your EPOC cards.
I hear what you’re saying about the bridge size. I prefer the poker wide cards myself. In fact of all the different styles and brands of cards that I carry my favorite are Gemaco’s. Gemaco 100% plastic cards are a bit thicker then the Copag cards and have more texture to them. The quality of the printing process is also better then in Copag cards. Don’t get me wrong I think Copag cards are great value for your dollar and they will last you a long long time. I just find that the Gemaco cards feel better and play better. Most of my customers who have played with Gemaco’s agree. Check them out here http://www.straightpokersupplies.com/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=57
