I've been playing more limit recently as I really want to pick it up. I've read through SSHE once and am trying to apply it, although I still don't feel that I have a thorough grasp on it so I'm going to read through it again. With the last hand, I was pretty sure I was beat when I was 3-bet there after check-raising. At that point the pot was big and thought I still may have a chance at taking it so I check-called to the showdown. Was this wrong? SSHE says to call down when the pot is large and you have a chance at it...is this one of those situations? Am I interpreting it wrong? I found that at the limits I was playing (0.5/1 and 1/2) that a check/raise or 3-bet at any point was never a bluff and always represented at least top pair but usually 2 pair or a set. How should I have handled this?

I would check behind on the turn in hand 2. I don't think he's folding here much since even a T or flush draw is calling again and we might as well see the last card and hope to improve. You could consider calling a river bet unimproved if you really think he's on a busted draw, though that's a fairly bad flop to be called on. I guess he must have also had just an ace I would lead the flop in hand 4 but as you played it i think you can fold to a 3-bet from most 1/2 players. The rest looks good, against some players maybe you can fold the turn in hand 3 but they'd have to super predictable.

I agree with checking the turn on hand 2. I don't think you are going to win the pot there uncontested very often on a flop like that to make betting worthwhile. I don't really think the pot in #4 is large enough to justify calling down. There's only 6 SB in preflop. I don't mind the flop check-raise (although leading here isn't horrible either). I think I probably fold to the flop 3-bet, you have no draw to back you up and you're drawing to only 2 outs if he has a Q. The board is fairly un-coordinated, so it's unlikely he's betting a draw at this point. Occaisionally I'll make a loose flop call here if I think the bettor's been out of line, but I'm not calling a turn bet UI.
