Vegas Poker Rooms

Hey All,

I'm planning a trip to Sin City and want to find out about some of the new card rooms that are opening.  I have played at Bellagio, Rio, Luxor, Bally's, and Binions.  However I hear the Wynn is really nice and I also heard that most of the other places above have expanded their rooms and spread higher limits.

I am a routine $10-$20 player and some low limit NL games such as 1-2NL 2-5NL 5-5NL and rarely the 5-10NL.

I am comfortable going to the $15-30 and $20-40 limit games as well.

Can anyone shed some advice on what games they have played where and whats good lately?  Also, any advice or referrals on casinos is greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,

Gonzo :as

  • I'm going there this weekend. I can scout out some of the rooms for you, but I won't be playing above 6/12 limit.

Let me know what you want to know, either thru this thread or PM.

    hork.

Who you kidding? You'll find some 1-3 spread stud and sit there all weekend..

    you are right, as always.
  • I really want to know whats up with the Wynn. I hear its the state of the art room now.

But the important thing is what card rooms best accomodate the players. I'm kinda tired of casino's with only one table per limit and waiting lists miles long. Hastle free poker. Thats what I want.

If you can let me know that would be great. Where are you staying Hork42?

    Thanks,
  • The Wynn has a beautiful poker room. The MGM Grand is also very nice as well. They have plenty of tables. The Mirage isn't bad either...they have a pretty big room. The Luxor sucks...small room and below-average dealers.

I plan on going back in Feb '06 and look forward to playing $10-$20 at the Wynn. When I was there in Sept I saw Negreanu & Lindgren taping a show.

The hottest waitresses were at the MGM Grand & Bellagio.
  • I'll check out the Wynn for sure, it's new since the last time I was in LV.

I think you'll have a good time at the Mirage. Big room, nice atmosphere, and they spread a lot of different games.
  • I go every year and this year, my favorite room was the MGM.
  • I spent 5 days in vegas at the end of September, played in several poker rooms. I found the best game in town for me was at the Mandalay Bay, they have a $200 Buy-in NL game with 2-4 blinds. The higher blinds make for a decent pot each time, and you cannot buy in with more or less then $200. The game was real loose the two nights I played there, and I walked away with $400-$500 profit each night. So if you are up for some no limit, give it a shot. I showed up around 7pm on the two nights I played there, and was able to get into a table withing a few minutes.

    Anyway, my 2 cents :)
