WSOP Final Table broadcast online

If you go to

http://www.gutshot.co.uk/wsopintro.php

and go through some rigamarole - download their software - you can watch the final table online.
Not sure it's worth it... any other sites doing
that?

I must see it happening! Go Dave! :D

  • From the site:
Membership is free and simple and you'll have full access all our updates, video's and pictures, not to mention hand for hand coverage of the final table.

Careful now when you say "watch"--- it says "coverage". I doubt ESPN will allow a reasonable quality video broadcast of the event.

But I sure as heck hope I'm wrong... 8)

    Thanks AA.
  • Pokerstar is going to be showing it live. Possibly hole cards as well, I htink they did that for the Carribean Adventure (but they were the hosts :P)

I can wait for that... but at least I'd like to see the hands -- at LEAST the BIG hands -- played out in something close to real time.

Go Dave! Iron out them slackjaws! 8)
  • It would be awesome if Stars was allowed access to the ESPN hole card cams. Since Stars is essentially 'replaying' the hands, I don't think it's unfeasable.

How cool would it be to watch the hands go down with all the cards flipped up.
  • Although it would be nice to see the hole cards, I would guess this won't happen since it would degrade the integrity of the tournament. (I mean, it's bad enough that they let non-pro players in who can't be bluffed out...)

My guess is they'll only show exposed hole cards.

I think it would give away too much to for a player to have a buddy watching the hole cards, and during breaks (or whenever) be feeding back information like "Scotty Slackjaw had Ac 4d a few hands ago when he raised your big blind to 30,000".

I totally agree with this. At that moment in time, revealing hands would affect play. Only after the fact the next day would this be OK, IMO.
