  • I would be interested on getting my hands on this baby as well.
  • I bought a copy of it at the local Chapters in the, can you believe it the bargin bin for I think $5.00 or so a few months back. I am sure they will be changing their tune when he gets his WSOP bracelet of which I have no doubt.
  • My copy was CDN$10 at B&M Chapters. The online Chapters was out of stock last I checked. And I believe you can get it on Amazon.ca for US$10.

  • I better get this book before Chapters realizes what is going on. What a steal it would be to get it at $10
  • I got it from amazon.ca for around $13 Canadian. :)

Dave, can you autograph it for me??
  • I believe the book is available only through Chapters but I have only seen it once - the Chapters in Bayview Village for $10 (it was in the bargain bin I believe) - that was in March.

I am happy I picked up a copy b/c I haven't seen it anywhere again since and I must have been to about 6 or 7 different Chapters since.

Perhaps Dave should sell his book online...doesn't seem that Chapters is interested in stocking them anymore.
  • Here's some fun, I have a copy from Dave. I won it when elimninating him form a tournament in Regina. I'll give it away as a prize for the bubble guy in the Pokerforum.ca III Tournament on Pokerstars. As I already have a copy from before. But for all those out there. Chapters is the place to go. Ask any sales person they will lead your right to it. But, yes it still in the bargin section.

I'll only need the persons address, they can email me after the tournament. Sounds good???????
  • last time i checked there were tons at the chapters here in burlington.
$9.99 has been the price for months

i'll check again, but pretty sure they have lots.

    is this NEW? :?: :?: :?:
  • It could be a second edition, or a revised printing... I believe he mentioned plans for this some time ago.

Also, it could just be a second printing run of exactly the same book.

By the way a great book for the beginner to intermediate player. I have increaded my b-roll after reading this book from $25 to 350 us. Thanks for the book it has been a big help to me.

That would make an excellent quote for the back cover of the next edition... $25 to $350 ain't bad at all!

  • aces that was me i just registered, also to include into that I read hellmuth's book as well after daves and my b-roll went from 350 to zippo trying to use hellmuths intermediate and advanced strategies to which I understand I wasnt ready to use so I have since did a quick dave refresher and have now gone from 50 to 75 last night. Thanks dave your book is a great stepping stone for the 'rookies' of poker. After re-reading the player types last night I also noticed that i am no where near a fox but I am close to a D-bass I think I can tell hole cards but I have an uncanny knack of knowing the other guys hand but not folding just to see if im right and 85-90 percent i am good for me ego bad for my bankroll.
  • I think I can tell hole cards but I have an uncanny knack of knowing the other guys hand but not folding just to see if im right

This is a REALLY common problem and will take a LONG time to shake. I never have. I call it the "deathwish" where sometimes I am playing badly, I know I am playing badly, and dammit I WANT to play badly. I KNOW the answers -- like he hole cards -- but I refure to take my own advice.
  • wow its nice to know that there are other people especially those who have won and placed in major events like you Dave that do some of the things the rookies do. And on july 18 in jacksonville florida they have a gambling cruise ship with a NLHE tourney 150 buy-in 15000 guaranteed and that will be my first live tourney any advice from anyone here on the board I have played live B&M poker but never NL and never tourney style. Wish me luck I'll post my results and look forward to any constructive critcism shot my way thanks
