BAD BEAT STORIES!
What are the odds of 4 of a kind being busted by a straight flush.........!
Blinds were 100/200....I had about 4800 in chips!
I was holding a Qd Qh on the button, Â middle position (high stack) guy raises to 900 total....everyone folds, so I re-raise another 900 to make 1800, and he calls. Â Flop comes 10s, Qc, Qs....so I flopped my quads! the absolute NUTS! Â No way I could lose! Â Then, my dream came true.....Raiser fires out another 1000, of course I just called! I was thinking he had pocket Aces, Kings maybe Jacks or a flush or straight draw, big slick spades?....maybe even a stone cold bluff to scare me off the pot. Â Turn comes 9s which makes it 10s Qc Qs 9s!!!!! Â He goes all in...which puts the rest of my 2000 chips all in!! Â a dream come true! Â I was so excited I flipped my cards and said I got the nuts to show my powerful 4 of a kind! Â He yelled YES!!!!!!......the tone sounded very fishy like he was victorious! Â He flipped over his Ks Js to make his straight flush! Â UNBELIEVABLE! Â the river was a brick 3h! which i still remembered because of this horrible beat! Â
I walked away, and I finally agreed that Luck is truly half the battle!
This happened early this year at a 40 player tourney at a buddy's house! Â I was on tilt ever since and that why my name is "IM ON TILT". Â
