This is so upsetting

  • "Because occasionally someone actually innocent will be wrongly executed" is the standard answer given to me.  Probably the most famous/recent example is David Milgaard who would not have had a chance to be found innocent.  However, even though I support the death penalty for certain offenses, this is not one of them.  Death is too good for these people (not just the grandparents, but the others living in that home who abused the kids through their silence).  I honestly don't know what punishment I would consider suitable.
  • Absolutely and utterly sickening!

I completely support the death penalty...and yes, I would apply for the job to flip the switch if it ever came to pass, these people would be first in line.

Making these types of people suffer is a waste of time, ridding the world of them is the one and only way to ensure they don't do it again.

    p.s. I wish I never read this.

    I better not then!

It's an article in the Sun about a current trial where multiple adults were involved (either directly or passively) in the death of a child due to neglect. Unfortunately neglect is not a strong enough word to describe what happened.
  • What's even more disturbing is the fact that the defense is suggesting that the child starved HIMSELF to death. Honestly, how ridculous can someone be? Absolutely repulsive that any adult, especially a blood relative, could do something so horrific to a child. Death penalty? Yes, absolutely. But first I believe these people need to be punished, riduculed, disgraced, and tortured first. Then I would volunteer to throw the switch to their chairs myself. :rage:
  • Just read this article and the electric chair is too good for these SOBS they should hang them up by their feet and slowly bled them them to death... :rage::rage:
  • They should let us vote on these things.

I say let them loose at the corner of a busy intersection at a prearranged and advertised time, then the police just turn their backs.

Same thing i said about if they found Bin Laden
  • the Canadian legal system is nothing short of a joke for the most part.
  • At the very least, I think that the room that the child was held in should be reproduced ... no wait, I think that the actual room should be used as the adults new residence.

Let them stay there in the exact way that the child stayed there. Let them starve. Let them use the room as a toilet and let them contract whatever illness/disease that can be contracted.

As a topper, I'd have the defense lawyer(s) come for weekend visits.

defense has to come up with something, the fact that it's ridiculous suggests to me the defense lawyer doesnt really want them to get off. Would you rather the defense come up with something that made sense and could get these people off?

What could possibly make any kind of sense in this kind of abuse?? Maybe senility..."oops, we're old, we forgot to feed to kid"...??? Defense could come up with something abit more believable. Whether or not the defense lawyer wants them to hand as well as the rest of country is irrelevant. His job is to come up with a reasonable doubt, not some kind of fairy tale logic like that.
