Relocation Costs...Any suggestions?
Hey all, I've officially made the plunge. I will be moving Calgary at the beginning of October. Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for saving on moving costs. Anyone know any movers in the London area that would be interested in the cross-Country trek at a decent price?

The drive is pretty hard. Not too much to see for a long long long long long long long long long time. Weigh the benefits.
I know this isn't much help.
You'll love Calgary, one of the best cities in the world. I'd move back if I could.
Go with a reputable mover. We did and it did cost a bit more and was still a terrible experience, but it was at least better than a friend of mine who went with a solo operation ran by a guy with his own semi. My buddy paid up front and got his stuff 4 months later, some of it damaged! In our case we paid a ridiculous sum, they treated us terribly, our stuff was delivered late and several items were missing/damaged, but at least it got here. Even though I was unhappy with our mover, I would still go with one of the bigger ones affiliated with a moving network.
Moving always sucks, but moving a long distance like that is stressful beyond belief. The only other thing I can suggest is to accept how crappy the moving part will be beforehand, and then focus on the positive parts of the move (a new city to check out!). Good luck!
If so you can claim it on your taxes!!!!
