I guess it then begs the question of whether or not casinos should be responsible for the gamblers. In my opinion since they are mostly owned or at least party overseen by the government than they certainly do have a responsibility to the gamblers. That is why we have the sort of government we do in Canada, to look out for those who can't do it for themselves.
I mean did he blow $500K in hopes of grabbing $25??? And I cannot belive that this dude didn't win anything ... substantial that is.
500K ... 500,000.00 ... FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars.
Thats a lot of money to loose. I cry when I loose more than a couple hundred.
AND I THOUGHT I HAD A PROBLEM ....
Gotta go ... the slots are calling.
P.S. As much as the Casino should have barred this dude ... he would have filed suit for not letting him in. This is a BS cash grab, but there should be somethin done to stop these people. I vote shock therapy.
Assuming he went to the casino 365 days a year for an average of 10 hrs a day...
He lost about $137 an hour....
Now slot machines are pretty -EV.... Vegas and Atlantic City machines payout about 95%.... so you got to figure this guy was betting about $2700 an hour to lose that much on average!!!
The reporter missed the BIG question.... How much was this guy getting comped??
Imagine how well he'd be doing if he didn't suck at gambling...
