  • I have never had a Royal. She gets it in the first month.

It took me 6 months to see a straight flush.

    NH. Maybe IPLC
  • I got a Royal flush in Vegas two weeks ago in the Luxor's poker room.

Was in late position and called with Jd 10d. Flop came with Kd Qd and a blank. Called all the way to the river which was the Ad. Bet out, and the button (two positions to my left) raised and I was in heaven. Re-raised, he called and I took down a monster pot.

I also got a $100 bonus for getting the Royal.

I was shaking so much with adreneline that I could barely stack my chips.
  • ElElliott,

How did you like the Luxor's poker room? I am leaving for Vegas on Sunday and my wife & I are staying at the Luxor.
  • I liked it - it was pretty small, but always easy to get a table. The dealers were ok. Not overly friendly, but they kept the action going at a nice pace.

They have daily tournaments at various buy-ins. My husband played in a $30 NL Hold'em freezeout - about 80 players and he came in 5th. Overall, I found it to be very unintimidating (unlike Bellagio's huge room which I've yet to play in)

It's also right next to "Nefrititi's Lounge" so starting around mid-day there was some funky live music to play poker to ;)

Have fun in Vegas! I love it there...been 6 or 7 times, and even though I just came back, I would turn around and go back tomorrow if I could!
