Poker in Ontario, Future Events?

Hello Everyone,

I havent had any luck trying to find any future poker tournaments similar to the Degree/TSN trny that took place in Niagra Falls last June. Does anyone know of anything coming up in the next few months?

    I asked a dealer/floorperson at Casino NIagara about tournaments a few days ago. They said there were "none scheduled" yet but left me with the feeling that they were working on it.

    Another option are the free live poker tournaments held at many bars throughout the GTA.  Without gambling any of your money, the best players can win prizes, including quarterly grand prizes such as a WSOP seat or a free trip.  I have qualified for the quarterly regional finals to be held next week.

    You can still get a free wilcard entry to a regional final simply by making it the top 8 final table in any of their tournaments this week.  Good luck!

    The GBH tourny October 12 is sold out. They have another one November 9 which is likely filling up fast. The buy in is $200+40 with unlimited $100.00 rebuys in the first hour and a $200.00 add-on after the end of the first hour.


    The Tournament of Champions is December 14, $200+40 with unlimited $100.00 rebuys in the first hour and a $200.00 add-on after the end of the first hour.

    Hey guys,

    Not to disappoint anyone, the October Tournament has been sold out for a while, the November CPT event ($200+$40 entry) has 38 spots remaining (please note this event will be soldout before the middle of October) and there are 32 spots remaining for the December 15th Tournament of Champions event ($200+$40 entry). The T of C typically sells out very quickly since the prize pool will start out well over $20K with the holdbacks throughout the year and the matching amount from the Casino plus the gold bracelet and other goodies not to mention the estimated 1st prize between $25K - $35K going to the 1st place finisher, this is also a CPT event for those players accumulating CPT points.

    The 2006 Tournament Package will be posted on our web site http://www.greatblueheroncasino.com towards the end of October or early November, look for 12 Tournaments in 2006, The Tournament of Champions in December 2006 will be a show stopper of an event both in prize money and a few other surprises and look for the bonus prize that will awarded the winner of the July 2006 CPT event. Registration for all 2006 events will begin on the 16th of December 2005 (day after the T of C).

    PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!........or at leat the odd one here or there....i'm in the Oct 12th one, but it will most likely be my last  weekday tourney for some time....
