Just started an online bankroll. Officially my worse beat to date. Did I play this the best that I could? Maybe raise more preflop?

Comments

  • I might've raised a little more pre-flop, but I think the flop-bet was perfect.  I would have just called the turn, although the raise is ok, but with a re-raise all-in, I'd probably toss the hand.  Did you peg him as a reckless player on a bluff, cuz if not, what else could he have but a Q?  Making quads on the river didn't really change much, since the 3 Q's had you beat anyway.

Yes... he had a boat on the turn vs. the guys 3 queens.

That's why I post my thoughts early - to make an a$$ of myself. Don't know how, but I totally missed that - my bad (shouldv'e slept last night instead of playing cards) - this shows I'm a (tired) beginner. I will leave my previous post intact though, so all may laugh, and I will adjust it below after Zero's insight.

Flop bet still seems a little low :) , after that, great play all the way. Got your money in as big favorite (I now realize this :D ), just sucks to lose. Only good thing is you didn't have more money at the table to lose ;)
  • I like the post-flop bets, can't do anything about the rest...
  • you shouldve folded to the turn raise

it was pretty obvious he was going to make quads
