Stag and Doe Blind Schedule

Hello all,

I'm going to be runinng a mini SNG (8 player) tourney at a friend's stag with 3 or 4 1 hr games where
the top 2 players after 1 hour play at the final table at the end of the night.

Thinking of each player starting with 30 or 40 chips (no denominations to keep it simple).

Can anyone suggest a blind schedule that will meet our 1 hour time limit per SNG?
Should the blinds change every 10 or 15 mins?

Thanks!

p.s. - it will be held in Hamilton on the Aug 27th.   :fish:

  • When my friends and I play 40-50 chips, single denomination, we start off at 1/2 then go around the table twice and raise it to 2/4. After people start getting eliminated we double the blinds after each elimination.

Our games of 8-10 people usually go 1 hour to 1 1/2 tops.
  • I was playing with family (no real experience) on Sunday, and did the following. 50 chips each, blinds were 1/2, 2/4, 4/8, going up every 10 min or elimination, whichever occured first. The next level I "effectively" made 10/20, but we chipped up since they were having difficulty with the larger number of chips moving. We chipped-up in stacks of 10, with no race (so 40 became 4, 42 became 5, etc.), and started blinds over at 1/2. This meant 400 chips in play for first 3 levels, and 40-45 chips in play for next 3 levels. The games each ran around 45 minutes. Pretty simplistic, but a lot easier for beginners.
  • Thanks MDS and beanie42 for the quick responses...I'll be able to work with this!
