  • Who else was there? Where did you come in from and how did you do?

I came in from Whitby and placed 12th.
  • I was there too, busted out 16th. Spot, I think I may have been sitting to your right on one of the beautiful Showdown tables at the end of Day 1. I remember a guy from Whitby. Doubt there were too many travelling that far.

A quick congratulations to Robert Quai and his staff at Quai du Vin winery. They put on an excellent show, and it was very well run. Hope to be back again for another try next year.
  • Yup, at the end of day one I was sitting at the end of the blue showdown table. I was wearing the blue glasses. I never thought of adapting a poker handle, but after drinking with my buddies from London that evening a name came up. "Blue Steel"

LOL Blue Steel. Sounds like something from ZOOLANDER if you ever watched it.
  • I finished 47th, and went out with AKs versus A6s, I was pretty happy when the cards fell, til th flop gave her a gut shot draw and the turn paired her sixes. I found I had a really hard time building up any sort of momentum over the course of the day, maybe I should have gambled more, I found alot of guys calling raises and re raises with hands like J10, and Q10. One fella actually raised with J10o and then called when I re raised all in like 40, 000 more. My hand held up that time, although he did flop an open ended straight draw.

Overall, really good experience though, I thought it was really well run all things considered.
