PokerStars: New Canadian cheque service

Some of you will like this.  I received this email today:

Dear Player,

As you may be aware PokerStars has recently introduced a NEW Canadian cheque issuance service.

With the growing number of players from Canada it seemed only natural for us to help you avoid those fees you often incur in association with currency conversion and suchlike.

This option is available via the usual methodology as one of the cheque currency options on the Cashier's Cash Out screen and will notify you of the prevailing exchange rate.

The cheques will be issued in Canadian Dollars (CAD) against CIBC and although we cannot guarantee it, apart from your normal banking charges you shouldn't incur any further expense in cashing these cheques.

The cheque minimum will still be the equivalent of USD 50 and will be sent from our cheque processors in Canada by regular mail if the amount is less than USD 1,000 and by courier (except where the address is a PO Box No.) if it is for USD 1,000 or greater.

In addition to receiving cheques in Canadian dollars, you may sign up for a free NETeller account at www.neteller.com.  With NETeller, you can receive funds directly to your Canadian bank account via electronic funds transfer (EFT) or wire transfer.  You can also receive funds using NETeller's ATM card.  For more information about NETeller, please email support@neteller.com or phone NETeller at 1-888-258-5859.

Happy playing and the best of luck from everyone at PokerStars - the World's Largest Poker Tournament Site!
