Bellagio 10-20NL on a Friday.
Last night to gamble on our 18 night stay in Vegas. Had quite a rough start to the trip but things turned around when I started focusing on various NL cash games.
Since the games seem to be really good on weekends I decided to take a shot in the Bellagio 10-20 blind NL game.
This game is amazing, there were 3 of these games going strong and all seemed to be good.
This game is a little over my head with a minimum buyin of 600 bucks, with no cap for those who like to have a big stack.
My table was to my liking with not too many ridiculous stacks, one man had about 6000 bucks when i sat and he had twice as many chips as anyone else.
I sat down with $1000. At these stakes I decided I wasn't going to see any flops with hands that i often pump it up with in smaller games, such as my favorite 35off.
Things started well. I waited 2 hands to post the big blind then it was game on.
I am dealt Jc6c first hand and 5 players limp, we see the flop 6 handed. The flop comes J hi with 2 baby clubs, and after the SB checked I bet 60 and everyone folded to me.
Hand number 2 in the small blind I am dealt KK, 2 players limp, I make it 100 to go and one of the limpers decided to take a flop. The flop came Q64 rainbow and I bet a weak 100 bucks. The limper calls. The turn card was a 5 and i decided to bet 300, which took down the pot. Good start!
I continued in the game for about 4 more hours winning multiple small pots never risking much of my stack.
Then came the big hand.
I am in the big blind with a chip count of $2120, doing well and feeling good.
A mid-position kid made it 80 to go and an Englishman right behind cold calls the raise. It is folded to me in the big and i decide to take the flop with Qc9c.
I had trouble keeping it in my pants when the flop came down Qd9s4d.
I shuffled my chips for 15 seconds then came out with a bet of $160 dollars.
The original raiser immediately says allin and shoves his stack toppling his checks into the pot.
Less than 5 seconds later and before knowing how many chips fumbled into the pot the cold calling Englishman reraises allin.
WOW!
I need some counts. The first allin kid gets his stack counted down and it is 830 bucks. The English donkey's allin is for 1700 even.
WOW!
1540 more to me with top 2.
I keep telling the table that I don't think Im good enough to fold this hand.
I thought for a minute or more but it seemed like forever, man is this a hard fold I think.
I decide to call the allins and the dealer asks us to show our hands.
The kid gets up and is ready to concede as he opens up AdKc.
WOW!
The Englishman also turns up his hand before I do and when he does I am ecstatic. AsQs.
WOW!
What a favourite I am.
I am still too disappointed to know what the pot added up to. Im sure I'll think about when I lay in bed without being able to sleep tonight.
The turn was the Ac.
Fuck Poker.
