What is your best hand to date and how much did you win???

Had this hand the other day, my best to date, just wondering what is the est hand everyone has had and how much did they manage to get into the pot? I have yet to be lucky enough to get a Royal Flush but I have been unlucky enough to lose to TWO Royals in the SAME tourney!!!!  :rage:

  • ............ the guy just wouldnt stop raising with a pair of 8s. wow.
  • Yes only 8's. Thats pretty bad. you should save his name and look for him at the tables for the next time.
  • oh yeah, I have his name in big RED letters!!!!!
  • Just last night on Pacific NL $600.

I don't have the typed hand history, but it went like this...

    Player 1 posts SB 3.00
    MDSGuy posts BB 6.00

    MDSGuy shows K2 :c:

    Player 2 raises 6.00 to 12.00
    Player 1 calls 9.00
    MDSGuy calls 6.00

    Flop KK2 :D

    Player 2 bets $75 :fish:
    Player 1 folds
    MDSGuy calls $75 :D

    Turn comes 2 ..... :D:D

    MDSGuy checks
Player 2 bets $100 :fish: :fish:
    MDSGuy calls $100

    River comes..... the 4th 2!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

    MDSGuy checks
Player 2 bets $346 and is all in

    MDSGuy calls $346

Player 2 shows AK (full house)
MDSGuy shows K2 (four of a kind 2s)

    MDSGuy wins pot $1078

I was on cloud nine! :D
  • wow, nice win!!!! I would have dumped K2 to the first raise...but that really turned into something sweet!
  • If he had raised 3-4x BB I would have folded too, but the raise was only 2x BB so I felt compelled to call. (you know, to protect your BB) I am Canadian afterall.
  • i am baffled by his river push... NH with the quads though :) why didn't you lead teh river, did you have a specific read on him?
  • MDSGuy wrote:

I think this is one part of my game that is weak, I think I sometimes dump hands too quickly to a minimal raise pre-flop or if I don't hit post flop, I think my game is leaning towards tight-passive right now and I need to move to tight-aggressive...but nice haul MDS!!!
  • Here is probably the best pot in relation to BB I've won...
    http://www.13cards.com/poker/HUGE.htm

BigE, I've had a Royal Flush once on PacificPoker...won a huge pot of $0.75  !!!! LOL
  • I don't have a record of the actual hand, but I remember it clear as day... about 2 years ago I was playing 10-20 limit on UB, and had been sitting at the table about an hour when I hit A :d: A :h:, I raise pre-flop, and 6 people call to see the flop.  Flop comes 5 :d: K :s: 8 :s:, Guy to my right bets into me and I raise, 2 players fold , other 3 players simply call.  Turn is 5 :s:, at this point I start sweating a little, possible trips out there now with the 5's and there are now three  :s: on the table.  Again guy to the right bets into me.. I am a little worried since I raised his last bet and he is still betting into me.  So I am thinking he hit his flush or had trips, or he just made a boat.  Despite all this I decide to still raise his bet to see where I stand.. so I raise and then the player to my left reraises... OMFG... I guess he has something now too! one guy folds and finally the original better to my right reraises to cap it.  At this point, I considered folding, but I figured I had just put a decent chunk of cash on the table so I was going to call.... River comes up A :s: .. Woohooo so final board is now 5 :d: K :s: 8 :s: 5 :s: A :s:

Guy to my right bets into me, I raise, guy to my left reraises and guy to my right caps it.. I am like WTF do they have?  We end up showing... guy to my left has J :s: J :h: and guy to my right has Q :s: 10 :s:, so I end up pulling down a pretty big pot having saved my pocket aces with an unlikely river. Pot was over $600.

Ended up cashing out at the end of that night having built up my bank roll from $250 to $2600 in a week.  Sadly, I have never been able to get a bank roll over $500 since that glorious week I had those 2 years ago.

wow, talk about a great hand, nice job!

the two royals in the one tournament were odd enough, the fact that I was in on both of them was crazy...thank goodness it was only a tourney!!!
  • I was so happy with all this raising going on between three people when I had the absolute nuts, but I was very worried about another heart coming up or the board pairing cause i was sure someone had a set. Turned out well, but I could've gotten more bets out of them if the king didnt come on the river.

In these low limits I follow Lee Jones advice on starting hands. Its not a hand i would like to raise with since half the table would call with A rag.

Not a crazy win...but, believe it is my best ring game hand.
  • very nice hand Wolff, no re-raise on the turn?
  • Most good players would have bet it again, but, I'm weak.

The check raise on the river looks clever, but, actually, i had 4 windows going and at first glance was pissed that I was going to now lose to the Kh...then I woke up and my Brock Math noticed the straight flush.
  • My best hand also turned out to be the toughest beat I've put on anyone. It was in a $20 Sng, I had taken out all 7 players myself (first time ever doing so) up to this point. Down to the last player who I have dominated stack wise.

    I get A :c: J :c:

    Flop comes down K :c: Q :c: Q :d:

Opponent pushes and I call, cards are flipped, he has KQ, meaning I have to hit the T :c: or running bullets, turn was T :c: for my royal and won the SnG! :D
  • Drooooooooooool.... I didn't do much here. Semi-bluff bet on the flop, and the fish did the res for me. Just posting it cause its the biggest pot i've even won (I just moved up to 2/4).

  • Been playing on line about 2 years now and have hit two royals in 2 years. Was playing on Saturday past and caught a royal flush in a small money tourney and about two hours later caught a SECOND royal flush in a small NL game (both diamonds). Managed to catch two people with the hand in my tourny and knock them both out only to lose to a suck out an hour later. The second time around, it payed off around $5.00. Great hands but such a waste lol.
  • Royal flush 3 times

First 3-6 live game: Flopped the A high str8 and went runner runner royal for about 70US
Second .25-.50 Omaha limit- Turned it and took a five dollar pot
Third .25-.50 HE: .75 cents but did win 28 dollars for the high hand jackpot

Most won- 360 dollars with AA on 1-2 NL
Two tourney wins for around 60 playing Omaha and Omaha8b

    Those are my bests
