Niagara, Seneca or Brantford?

Hi all,

I have a group of us guys (4 or 5) that play, but none of the others have played live at a casino, only online and home games (I've done Vegas and Fallsview).

We're in Oakville, so just west of Toronto, which poker room would you recommend? Old Niagara, Seneca or Brantford? Both Niagara and Brantford are about the same distance from here (45 minutes)

It would be NL, but low, or a tournament in the $100 - $200 range.

Any suggestions?

Scott

  • Seneca. Get Blitzed, Free Booze.

If Seneca is busy, go to Old Niagara casino. It's always empty.
  • Seneca for sure.
  • Brantford does not offer NL so the best bet would be Seneca if you are looking for NL
  • Is Seneca 21+?

Also, do you need passports when crossing the border?

Really? They got the Vegas thing going on over there?
  • Drink for Free until 4am everyday... If you order water.. order 3-4 bottles at a time as the bottles are TINY!!!! If you order anything order double as when I was there last the waitress does not come around as frequently as you would like her to.. Just my opinion... Good luck!

  • SENECA SENECA. I have had a great run there - they offer 1/2 Nl, the lists are not ridiculous, and the drinks are free. The cocktail waitresses are nice too. :D
  • Definitely Seneca. The dealers terrific and the booze is free flowing.

You have to be 21 and as of right now you only need photo id and birth certificate to get across the border but a passport makes it much easier.
  • What is the session fees like at Seneca? Not sure if I am a winning player so hoping to reduce the expenses to stay as close to breakeven as possible.

    Guin ... :fish:
  • As well as session fee or rake, what are the limits spread at Seneca?
  • to add to the pile of questions:

How far is seneca from, let's say, the niagara falls border?
  • 1. Yes Seneca is 21+
    2. Free booze is good as long as you drink responsibly - and have a friend like SocietyRed as Desig. driver :D
    3. session fee for 1/2NL is $5/30 mins - same as Niagara but the lists are usually much shorter - they spread limit games starting at 2/4 and also have a 5/5NL
    4. Literally 5 mins from Niagara Falls border!

P.S. When are you and I going again Society????
  • There is no more session fee at Seneca for 1/2 they are back to rake. They take $3 if there is a flop and I think another dollar when the pot gets to $40.

No more session fee? I'm happier with that.
  • $3 if there's a flop, seems very pricey for such a small stake.

true enough, but i prefer that to the session fee, especially if it's a max rake of $4
  • ANyone know if they spread games above 10 20 limit on a regular basis
