Limit Steps Strategy - Online
I am starting a new strategy for on-line limit play in hopes of making money.
I figure I can average making at least 2 big bets per hour. (12 dollars in a 3-6 game )
I am starting with a bankroll of $1200 and plan on playing 3-6 for 100 hours hopefully ending up with approximately 2400 at which time I would cash out $400 and take $2000 to the 5-10 game for 100 hours hopefully making it into 4000 in one hundred hours, and then moving to the 10-20 game and so on... always keeping a bankroll of 200 big bets. And tracking all of my hours and results.
Any opinions on this strategy, think it could work? Anyone tried anything similar?
My results for 1st 5 hours:
hour1: +$135
hour2 +$97
hour3 + $55
hour 4 + $146
hour 5 - $19
Total 5 hours: + 414
Obviously this pattern is unlikely to continue.

No, because:
1) your plan has no contingency for moving down if you lose.
2) You assume that playing poker is like a ATM machine; constant winnings. It's not. Be prepared for the swings.
3) your plan assumes no increase in skill as you move up levels. 10/20 people are going to put you to some tough decisions if you don't put THEM into those decisions first. Your winrate won't remain constant.
