  • Taking the time to post the super enghanced Danny poster and asking about spelling is funny.
The error makes it even more funny.
The fact that you comment on the spelling and having it mis-spelled is one of the saddest things I've seen today.
why take the time to give him props and not check yur spelling without checking, especially when you question it?

    Go DAYLE BRUNSON.

  • Fixed it.. I was really tired and could careless really if I spelt it right.. Anyhow, thanks for noticing.. BTW you could have just stated that the name was spelt wrong instead of making me the brunt of joke out of it. Anyhow, see you all in class :fish:

  • I was drunk. I remember thinking how funny it was though, when i first saw it spelled wrong.
It was funny even before the comment on yur own spelling.
Sorry for making an example of it tho.
    I owe you one.

  • Kev is a good bowler.
  • Bowling is on soon.
Im heading to Vegas tomorrow for 18 nights.
Teach I hear you are showing up in town sometime during the main event.
I know the Orleans tournies start up while both of us are still down there.
Bowling at the Orleans must be fit into the trip.
Anyone else in Vegas for WSOP let us know and you can get into our bowling extravaganza,
or maybe just meet up for some poker or a buffet.

  • Interesting thread.  Glad to see I got a couple of "kinda sorta" votes -- lol.  Guess I'll have to make the final table so I don't have to worry about winning the pool.

I really need to get on the Letterman show.  Ever since I watched it in the early days as a teen, I wanted to get on the show.  The velcro suit was the first thing which made me love the show, and then the instant replay of the dog crapping on the stage got me  hooked.  So nothing less than winning the whole thing will work for me.

More than last year, it will be players with the most depth to their game which will have a shot at making it to the final table.  I believe it will be much like the stars sunday tournaments where a bunch of good players make it through to the middle stage and have a shot at driving it home.  The ones that do, will have some luck working for them -- cards, table draw or seat draw, and then need to concentrate to drive it home.  Many of the top pros will lack that concentration, as they just like to party too much -- lots of them partying at the Rio till 4:00-5:00 am before playing the next day.  Take your eye off the ball for a few seconds, and bam your stack is gone.

Notwithstanding Dave's comment on weak-tight, I think that it's important to have that style as an option in the early going.  Weak-tight, is not such a bad style, first day, on a table with fps prone wannabe semi-pros.  There were a couple of the fps-wsp on my table and they were destroyed by some strong play by Al krux (playing weak-tight & tight-aggressive) and two other weak-tight players who were getting slapped silly by the deck.  One made it three hours, and the other made it to 9:00 pm.  And another pokerstars casualty was a nice lady who couldn't lay down a hand, when the weak tights were betting strong.

ok, my votes: (I won't vote for myself)

    Krux,
    Harrington,
    Matasow (is he outta jail?)
    Three stars qualifiers
    pokerforum.ca player
    Negraneu
    Some other internet qualifier
