You are so used to seeing cheap $49 sets everywhere...you forget that there does exist difference in quality. I challenge you to look up the pricing for the brands I list, compare...THEN make comments about the prices. Just because you see a 500chip poker set for $800 and compare it to costco's $44 set...you neglected to see the word PAULSON on the $800 set of chips. It like buying a car...obviously a Rolls Royce is going to cost you more than a Geo Metro. Poker chips/build/quality is the same thing. If you feel that you would never spend that much on poker chips...thats fine, for the rest of Canada who knows high end...they are selling very nice.
I am sorry you feel our chips are "outrageous", you get what you pay for in the poker chips business.
Once again, you can start off by reading reviews at: http://www.21ace.com/Poker-Chips-Reviews.html then look up the prices for the products I have. Make sure you correct for US to CAN funds, and viola....its cheaper to buy through us then it is to go through the US.
fyi he's selling Nevada Jacks at the same price it sells for in usd. Theres nothing wrong with these prices.
Now would I buy them? No, but I don't run a game or play with friends very often. Are the prices "outrageous" I don't think so.
I've got some pics up if anyone's interested in checking them out: http://greg.ca/index.php?search_for=Nevada
the paulsons are the best can be had in james bond, pharos or plain version can be had for around 500-550 for 500 chips or 525-570 for a set with case ect the pharos being the most then the normal ones then the bonds being the cheapest
chipcos next best its a ceramic and cost is up there too around 500. however i see none of these on your site
the nevada jacks, desert sands American Beauties are nice too if u cant afford the paulsons or chipcos. these are much like the chipco
the should run 300-350 for 500 piece set with case
outta the cheap stuff prob best is the nexgen line of chips. thay a clay comp with metal lining. but prob best feeling quality cheaper chip around $100 for a 500 piece set with case
the rest of the lower end stuf i wouldnt bother with
one thing. u say
....its cheaper to buy through us then it is to go through the US.

well after comparing it seems your prices are much more than getting from usa after converting to can currency
paulsons should be $580-$640 at the most for the chips u have for $759
nevada jacks American Beauties , dessert sands ect shouild be $350-$400 you have for $449 and .95 chipp for the beauties wich is even more
and the nexgens should be around 115-118 you have for $169-$185
sure someone could send to a adreess in the states and picj it up and smuggle back or get shipper to put low decleration of value on it for shipping. this way getting past duties ect.
but with free trade these made in usa chips should be duty free or half time they dont even bother chargin duty on low cost items.
any way lets just say even if u do pay dutys ect it still works out cheaper from the usa.
just remember to ship usps or feel the wrath of fedex ups ect brokerage fees
all said and done u can save at least around $100 getting the paulsons or nevada jack/desert sands/american Beauties from the usa
and save $60-$70 off nexgens getting from usa
