Some pics from Europe. Amsterdam - this is the last part - enjoy!
And I wrapped things up in the Dam. I won't repost, but there are some shots of me outside the ACF (paris) and with Harthgosh outside his home somewhere on the forum.
We start as follows:
The silliness continues. This isn't my fault. I am not sure how you are supposed to walk by a 3 foot 'ring' and NOT stop to take a picture. Anyone?
This was as close as we dared take a picture of this part of the city. Anyone care to guess what those red coloured lights in that stores windows means? That is the famed 'Pink Elephant' where some of us took in some live theatre. I think it was a fine show, combining the actors balance, flexibility, lack of stage fright or performance anxiety and in many cases, gag reflex. I did, somehow, get pulled up on stage (which was this weird, creepy, raised, rotating circle thing) and this amazon woman took off most of my clothes and spanked my with my belt. I sh*t you not. I am not particularily proud of this. The funny thing was that people were coming up to me the next day at the conference and saying that they couldn't believe I got up there. They would never have the balls. Guess I showed them ... (pardon the poor joke).
Amsterdam is beautiful at night. This was the view a block from our hotel.
I had another crazy night with these folks. Anyone want to guess who the bald guy is? I might award a prize if you get it right. He's a big shot in the poker BUSINESS world. No hints. The nice ladies were South African. They represented Partnerlogic, which is the marketing arm of Cryptologic. That would be Interpoker for the layman. They hosted this crazy dinner ride on this luxury mini-yacht. We had live entertainment, casino gambling (where they gave away 500 euros and several bottles of champagne), showgirls (mostly clothed - I am still trying to get those pics) and an open bar. They also gave away IPODS for showing up to their dinner - which was invite only. Somehow, I impressed them enough to get invited and get an Ipod, only to have to give it to the woman when I returned.
Some of the free stuff I got at the convention. Look carefully and see if you can spot waldo.
I decided to repost this - Harthgosh and I standing in front of his CRAZY mansion. He was there alone while we visited, but usually he lives there with Noah Boeken and Marcel Luske. I have a new respect for his (and other serious players' at that level) knowledge of the game.
