wondering how much you would pay to see the flop with various hands.

$5 Any pocket pair
$12 AQ, AJ
$17 10 10, JJ, AK
$25+ AA, KK, QQ

These are just examples of what I would probably pay to see preflop. I would like your comments.

    I wouldn't go into the game with a set amount, it all depends on the players at the table an how loose or tight the game is but with AA or KK im willing to go broke pre-flop with those hands.

    $1-2 NL. How much are you willing to pay to see the flop?

    This is a difficult question to answer without A LOT more information. Let me rephrase the question: If there has been a raise and I am on the button how much will I pay for what class of hand?

    If the player is a ROCK. I will pay 1about 8% of my stack with any of: pocket pair, suited connectors (or one or two gappers), A-K or A-Q. Rocks have trouble folding. I am looking to hit a flop with take his whole stack. This is an implied odds hand.

    If the player is a very aggressive player who is capable of laying down pre-flop I will rarely call. I will, however, frequently re-raise with the same list of hands, plus suited aces. This is a semi-bluff. I do not want to see a flop against a player who could have almost any two cards, I prefer to take it now.

    If the players is a slightly too loose weak player who has trouble folding I will tighten up from the list above. Still willing to play for about 10% of my stack.

    If the player is weak tight, I may play any two cards and look to take it from him on the flop if he misses.

    These are, obviously, some serious generalizaions.
