Next weekends Edmonton CPT event on Sportsnet

Received confirmation from Joanne (Casino ABS) tonight that they have confirmed that Sportsnet will be televising the Western Cananian Poker Championship, among other events. The events are $500 buy in freeze outs next weekend May 13-15. They have the camera table built and it is apparently going through trials in Toronto currently. The event will be broadcast in a number of 1 hr episodes beginning in late July. They have confirmed 2 seasons...

    They just need to do a better job of the commentating then they did at the "Caribbean Poker Classic". Jim Van Horne and (forgot last name) Savage were just awful.

    First of all, they need to say how much the bets are, and how much its to call. Makes it hard to determine whether a player should be calling or not.

    Great to see Sportsnet covering these Canadian events, will be fun to watch!

    I was watching final tables tonight. The sportsnet coverage looked very good. Not sure how the editing and commentary will be, but they went first class with the equipment etc. Looks good for upcoming Calgary and Regina events.
