Team Canuck Poker Tournament - Running commentary

I will be adding to this thread throughout the eveng. And, I encourage anyone who is taking part to do so as well.

If you win a bounty you will be paid and informed by email from Paradise.

The tournament winner also gets a handsome Team Canuck Poker cap and t-shirt.

Fear the beaver, baby. Fear the beaver.

  • I will not only be playing, but I am also looking for individuals to help me complete the Selection Committee for the Canadian Poker Hall of Fame. I invite anyone interested to come chat with me during the tourney, or you can email me for more information at any time.

  • 181 players...

    800 watching !
  • so he says he is cloutier.... Dave any confirmation?
  • I can't confirm it. TJ is not from Indianapolis, though. It least I don't think so.
  • I can't confirm it. And, I really doubt it.

TJ lives in Texas, I think.
  • with 127 left, all_Aces is leading Team Canuck and he's not playing!

    No bounties yet, though.
  • FastWilly is out. Foundation scores a bounty
  • In the WSOP side bet, this means that Ralph buys breakfast at the WSOP on June 3
  • My gut feeling is that DiamondTJ is not TJ Cloutier.

  • I like Scotty's thinking

92 left. all aces still with small lead on turniptruck. I've been getting lucky and am just ahead of average stack
  • turnip truck is out...
  • Piss me off! Beaten by a *royal flush* of all the garbage hands. :rage:

    D'ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh!

Great tourney idea. Can't wait for another. :fish:
  • No kidding... He took naked aces up three times, and got lucky.

Way to aggressive, but then the blind schedules kinda dictated that you have to be.

Wonder how he got in...oh wait it WAS posted on the internet. I kinda thought he knew Dave, guess not.
  • At the first break, 89 remain. 1/2 the field.

Usually, by the way, a good estaimte is 1/2 the field after six levels and this is exaclt the case here
  • It's not the first time I've been outplayed by someone that didn't show up.  I was hoping to make it to the first break, but not tonight.

    At least I get breakfast.

    Bob
  • I played one hand against TJ at the 2001 WSOP. Accoring to his books, he will remember me. I dount it, not much of a hand.

I did speak to him a year ago. I called him to follow up on a "due diligence" issue with the Canadian Poker Tour and, I shoudln't have. It made him justifiably angry. My fault.
  • I have, at least once, bought in online after coming home from an outing and "gone to sleep." Last time I did this, I made the money.
  • Anyone know 'theGulatta'? He seems to know me.

    Lucky bastard. Royal flush. Sheesh!
