Opinions needed on new chip design.

I don't think this is an "advertisement" as these chips are not in production yet (if ever) & I am not looking for sales. I just want to get the opinion of the poker community. If a mod disagrees, please let me know.

I am trying to create an authentic looking, high end,  10 gram real clay chip to compete with the other premium chips on the market. ie. Paulson, Nexgen, Chipco, etc.

Here is my design.

The black or white print around the edge represents an emboss.

I'd like to know your general thoughts as well as your thoughts on the centre graphic & chip colours.

As always, your input is appreciated.

    My opinion?
I do not like them sorry. I do not like the colours, graphic or layout. The denominations are either too small or should be centred.
I am only one person though and perhaps alone on this.
  • again, if you made them, it's different from if you selected them from a selection of available designs...
  • Personally, the denominations don't really matter too much. I find that we adjust the value of each chip depending on the game/audience. Those are the "generally accepted" values for those colours, so if you include a number on them or not shouldn't really matter. I love the embossed edges, adds a nice touch. As for the logo in the middle, on smaller things I find the KISS principle applies. Are you in love with the Riverboat Casino? How about just a muskoka chair with a beer beside it?

I wish I had the cash to create my own custom chips. I shudder and the cost to hotstamp my Costco cheapies .... enjoy!

yes, these are 100% original from my pea sized brain. That's why I need others opinions, because I'm obviously biased.
  • you know about chiptalk.net?
u'll get tons of help over there
  • i just think that if you're going out on a limb to get your own design, then get something really uber-unique
  • unless u actually live on a riverboat casino....
  • something Canadian! :)
