ok, WSOp event planning.

in the poll there are 56 people, all of which would be willing to spend at least up to $100.

I'd like to pick a date...say May 10th to hold the event online.

1st place would get entry to a $2500 WSOP event and say $500-$1000 spending money.
remaining prize money would go to 2nd and 3rd place (anything above and beyond the 1st place prize)

I know some of you won't like that it's online, others won't like the date. The plain truth is, leaving the decisions open to 55 other people, you won't be able to make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time. If anyone has feedback/questions on the progression of this that don't include being upset on the date or location (online) please post here.

  • I would much rather this be a live event - because I don't even have a Pokerstars account (MAC USER) - but in order to not shut out the many people who don't live close to Kitchener, i agree this is the most fair way.

May 10th sounds good. I guess I can open an account and play this at my Sister's place. What time?
  • It may not necessarily be at Pstars...I guess it will if they let us hold a $1 private event. the idea is to avoid registration fees, but to save the work, I guess there wouldn't be harm in what would turn out to be a $100+9 I guess.
  • No way you can run this live..

To many of us are spread out
  • It could be like a giant conference call.

Sloth could organize a live game for 56 people and anyone not actually there could call in to have someone tell them what cards they have and what the other people at the table are doing (maybe they are showing a tell, I dunno). Then the remote players say what they want to do and someone at the game does it.

    That could work ...
  • I would be willing to host at my place. I can deal at all the tables, tell everyone what they have, and then make their next play on their behalf. And I won't take a rake, so it will be all legal! :D
  • If you can swing that, I hear the brooklyn bridge is for sale too!
  • Actually, I was gonna post that on eBay, but since you mentioned it, I'll give you a chance to buy it first :D
  • must ... resist ... hijacking ... thread ... for ... silly ... tangent
  • OK, seriously, it would be easiest online, but I know it has been discussed earlier that regional games could be set up. How about it?
  • LOL, there sure is a lot of irrelevant discussion going on here.

Anyway, May 10 (after 9pm EST) is good for me. I'd prefer to have it on the Prima Network, if only to save a few bucks on the fee.
  • If I may add my two cents, I would like to see it at Paradise. But that is only because I have an account with the funds to play.
  • Wouldnt it be nice to play on a site that gives us bucks back? you know the deposit bonuses. Just an idea. :D
  • Why not on full tilt?

Sloth - contact them and tell them to set up a private game (freeroll)
We all deposit (they have a HUGE bonus) and support the forum?

    Everyone wins!
  • so whats happening i there going to be a tourney?
  • Maybe you could take a poll and see which site most people play at ...... I'd vote UB.
  • People.

Sloth set up a relationship with full tilt. They offer a 100% bonus up to $600. He will set up some sort of game. It can be a freeroll for $20. It doesn't really matter.

    SUPPORT THE FORUM!!!!!
  • Fine with me wherever you hold it. I have accounts at most places. Just would be nice to have a final decision a few days before the event and were getting close to the 10th.
