WSOP Event #41 - Bomb Pots??

Just read about one of the new events for this year. It's a mix of NLHE and PLO (game changes every 8 hands). There's a separate button that moves once an orbit and when buttons meet, it's a bomb pot.

So, when is someone going to run a tournament with this format?

    It looks like it’s every time they change games, not when the buttons meet. The second button is just to determine who acts last for the bomb pots.

    Kind of a cool idea, but I think there’s just way to many spots where you’d have jam/call when your short stacked. I’ll be interested to see the total time this one takes compared to normal tournaments.

    Yeah, you're right. Bomb pot every 8 hands, then bomb pot button moves one spot.

    I'm assuming it speeds up the tournament a lot, but still sounds like fun. Quicker to the cash game 😉
